The HUB is excited to collaborate with The Mental Health and Climate Change Alliance on a coast-to-coast Climate Café taking place July 31st at 4 PM PDT - 7 PM EDT! Tune in to join fellow climate activists to share your experiences of, and discuss together how to grow individual and communal resilience in the face of, extreme weather events.

This event, organized by the MHCCA Youth Advisory Board in collaboration with the Climate Justice Organizing HUB, is part of the HUB’s new Extreme Weather Events microgrant program. The aim of this online climate café is to:

- bring people together from across so-called Canada to share their different experiences of and emotional responses to extreme weather events and the climate crisis

create psychological safety and a brave space where individuals can comfortably process, share and navigate together the complex emotional responses triggered by witnessing or experiencing extreme weather events

Work through difficult emotions together rather than avoiding them, participants will learn new ways of being in community and foster greater capacities for political engagement in the climate justice movement!
