Conversation Matters Webinar: From $prawl to Land Back

From $prawl to LandBack: Join us on Wednesday June 30 for the fifth monthly Conservation Matters webinar. We’ll feature Indigenous voices, local farmers and residents working to ensure there is No Urban Boundary Expansion in Hamilton."

The webinar will include the following topics:
Working to Stop Sprawl in Hamilton and surrounding areas
Nancy Hurst of Stop Sprawl Hamilton
Chris Krucker of the Federation of Agriculture
Indigenous rights and defence of water and land
Danielle Boissoneau of Hamilton Harbour Water Walk and Nibi Awan Bimaadizwin
Skyler Williams, Haudenosaunee Land Defenders and spokesman for 1492 Land Back Lane.

Our opportunities to affect conservation matters in Hamilton are truly gaining momentum.

On the back of the Hamilton Conservation Authority's decision not to move Ancaster Creek wetlands and headwaters, and the decision by City Council to approve the motion for a second opinion on the urban boundary question, it's clear that our voices are being heard.

Let's use the tools already available, and learn what more we can do, to defend Indigenous rights, protect farmland and water, stop urban sprawl, and continue to influence matters of conservation in Hamilton and Ontario!
