Etobicoke Climate Action

Our primary mission is to combat the Climate Crisis by reducing our Greenhouse Gas Emissions in how we live our lives in Etobicoke (as well as Ontario, Canada, and Globally), and to do so leaving no one behind.

• Retrofit existing buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
• Innovative and integrated approaches to transportation including “complete streets” that encourage non-polluting forms of transportation and healthy, active walking and cycling.
• Protection of the natural environment via protection and enhancement of existing biodiversity and ecosystems in our parks, ravines and gardens.
• Meaningful reduction of waste production, elimination of single use plastics and excess packaging, reduction of food waste, etc., and movement towards a “circular economy.”
