Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE)

CAPE works nationally to support a healthy environment across Canada. We work in support of progressive climate policy, in support of a just transition to green energy infrastructure, and in support of stronger toxics regulations. We have supported opposition to fracking; we have helped shut down coal-fired power plants; we advocate for the phase out of natural gas infrastructure; we support active transportation; and we support investment in Electric Vehicle infrastructure.

At the provincial level, we work primarily on provincial and regional areas for action on the environment and health, including but not limited to provincial climate policy, land use planning, electricity infrastructure, air and water pollution, sustainable health systems.
