TRANSFORMING FUNDING MODELS SUMMIT

Join us June 22 and 23 for two interactive half-days of bold ideas on transforming the social impact world’s funding models.

Alongside hundreds of professionals and funders from across the country, we’ll dive into game-changing funding and business model transformations that are gaining traction for the new era of impact coming out of COVID.

COVID-19 has brought into sharper focus the many gaps in wellbeing across Canada — and the social impact sector itself contributes to many of these inequities, even in the pursuit of doing good, and especially in the gatekeeping of what’s funded, who’s funded, what’s in-kind, what’s overhead and what’s not. The next 12 months are critical for building more resilient business models, or we could see devastating and lasting effects on our communities.

We’ll dive into questions like: What does the growing wealth gap mean for the future of philanthropy and funding? What problems does the mindset of donor primacy present for community services and global development? How can philanthropic organizations shift the power imbalance between their boards and their communities? Will there be a pendulum swing post-pandemic toward even more restricted funding, or has the pandemic loosened the reins for good?

Boosting resilience takes time. In order to better support you in your journey to strengthen your organization’s resilience, we are including a one-year Future of Good membership with your summit experience.
