The Climate Optimist Zero Waste Dinner
Join us for our October Special Edition for an artsy night full of stories, zero-waste bites and community as an antidote to Eco-Anxiety.
Artist Marjan Verstappen and therapist Cordelia Huxtable have crafted a delightful experience as an antidote to eco-anxiety. It was designed to support you in processing your climate crisis feelings in connection with the community and the natural environment using art and creativity.
Deepen your relationship with local plant life through art to find inspiration and take your sustainability journey to the next level!

About the Session Facilitators:
Marjan and Cordelia are sisters born in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We made Canada our home in 2014 and now live and work in Parkdale, Toronto. Cordelia Huxtable (M.Psyc, G. Dip. Psyc, BAHons) is a Registered Psychotherapist practising relational, trauma-informed and somatic psychotherapy. She helps people form a deeper relationship with themselves, each other and their environment. Marjan Verstappen (MFA, BFA) is a visual artist and art educator. She facilitates workshops focused on developing drawing skills as a meditative practice, which she is dedicated to in her own artistic work. In her teaching, she loves to share her enthusiasm for the beauty in everyday life and strives to help her students discover it through their art. She leads community arts experiences for STEPS Initiative, Arts Etobicoke, Toronto Alzheimer’s Society, and Workman Arts. Learn more about their work here.
