Stop Old Growth Logging: Toronto Rally [Fairy Creek Solidarity]

Screen Shot 2021-06-02 at 3.06.56 PM.png

British Columbia is in a struggle to protect some of the last and largest old growth trees in the world. Old growth forests are still clear cut at a rate of 150,000 hectares every year. Only 2% of high-productivity old growth remains in BC and the government has granted a license to harvest the last intact old growth valley on Vancouver Island.

As Canadians, we stand in solidarity with old growth forest defenders of Fairy Creek. We may not be able to defend the ancient trees on Pacheedaht territory (on Vancouver Island) in person, but we want to show that Canadians across the country support their cause. If it's important to you that these trees remain standing, please show your support and let's add our voices to the chorus.

WHAT TO BRING:
Signs, flags, noisemakers, drums, and energy! Invite your friends!

RULES:
Must wear a face mask and physical distance.
