Join us for an evening of networking with Candidates for Ward 11, drinks, and the opportunity to broaden your political discourse!

About this event

Six Degrees: Toronto Talks Election 2022 with The Green Line is presented by The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), and the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI).

Six Degrees is back Tuesday, October 18th at CSI Annex, 720 Bathurst St. examining urban futures and the upcoming municipal election. Join us for an evening of networking, drinks, and the opportunity to broaden your political discourse.

The night will feature networking with City Council Candidates for Ward 11 - University Rosedale and a political speed-dating program that matches up young Torontonians with opposing political views, who are willing to have constructive conversations. The program will explore this model for a healthy discourse on political issues, and generate community-driven solutions for increasing youth voter turnout, which has been declining for decades. To find your match, complete this 1-minute questionnaire.

Participants of the political speed dating program will need to sign up to My Country Talks (using the link above), an app whose mission is to connect people to discuss the issues that divide and unite them through “scientifically proven methodology [which] can reduce polarization and build empathy through the power of dialogue.”
