Join the University of Toronto (U of T) Trash Team for their first-ever Plastic Pellet Blitz, a cleanup focused on a less familiar source of microplastic pollution called pre-production plastic pellets! Plastic pellets are the building blocks used to make everyday plastic products, and, unfortunately, their small size makes it so they can easily become pollution. In fact, every year, the U of T Trash Team finds plastic pellets in trash capture devices deployed along Toronto’s Waterfront.
This event supports Operation Sweep the Creek, a U of T Trash Team Pollution Prevention Project that addresses plastic pellet pollution at the source.
