The Garden Club of Toronto has played a key role in designing and planting gardens that beautify the city and environs as well as providing outreach and educational programming. Join us as we celebrate our 75th anniversary by charting a path to the next 75 years with a symposium that will inspire gardeners and nature-lovers of all ages.
This symposium inspires you to take a fresh look at gardening and see the many ways in which it leads to a sustainable future by bringing key speakers, artists and community allies together. This full-day event will feature:
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Diana Beresford-Kroeger
Roundtable 1: Gardening to support biodiversity / our role as stewards of the land
Roundtable 2: Health benefits of being connected to nature
Art Exhibit featuring sustainable creations with recycled and repurposed material
You will have a chance to meet and learn about Toronto community organizations working towards a sustainable future right now.
A boxed lunch is included in ticket price, however attendees should bring their own reusable water bottle to fill at water-filling stations.
