Getting to Zero: Solving Homelessness

Homelessness is a complex, life-threatening problem. It can be solved—but only if systems are built with that aim.

On Monday, September 13, the Canadian Urban Institute is pleased to present the 2021 Annual Leadership Lecture featuring Rosanne Haggerty, President of Community Solutions and an internationally recognized leader in developing innovative strategies to end homelessness and strengthen communities.

Community Solutions is the recipient of the MacArthur Foundation's 100&Change grant, which awards $100 million to a single proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time. Their Built for Zero initiative works with 100 communities to apply public health strategies to make homelessness rare overall and brief when it occurs. Join us to hear from Rosanne on Community Solutions’ strategy for accelerating an end to homelessness in 75 communities in the United States over the next five years and create the conditions for any community to end homelessness.
