Final License Hearing - Outdoor Gathering

Protect the Kichi Sìbì (Ottawa River)! The Chalk River Near Surface Disposal Facility (NSDF) is in the final step in the licensing process for is the first ever proposal for permanent nuclear reactor waste disposal in Canada.

On August 10, from 8 AM - 12 PM (EDT) in Ottawa (50 Sussex Drive), Algonquin nations impacted by this project are calling on water protectors, fire keepers, and people living in Ottawa to stand up for the protection and preservation of the Kichi Sìbì by joining in a peaceful gathering. Water is Life!
