The Toronto’s Environment and Energy Division is holding four online stakeholder engagement sessions to get input on its Existing Buildings Emissions Reduction Strategy, which is due to be released early in 2021. This is an important opportunity for members of the public to call for bold action (e.g. performance standards, regulations, incentives, workforce development initiatives) to put Toronto’s building sector on a roadmap to net zero emissions - and create good jobs and community benefits - while protecting and expanding equitable access to safe and stable housing.
