This discussion-based workshop will explore the practical approaches and tactics for effectively bringing climate decisions to the Council. We will ask you to share your insights on:

• How do you approach presenting climate initiatives to the Council

• What are the main barriers you encounter, and how do you manage them

• Practical tactics and strategies that have led to successful climate initiatives

In addition to exploring these critical areas, the workshop will include a focused advocacy discussion to understand how municipal staff can be more effective in engaging in advocacy for climate action, what this advocacy might look like, and the issues that need to be addressed to achieve impactful results.
