Background

Mike Balkwill works as Campaign Director with the Wellington Water Watchers. Since 2016, Mike has been the architect of WWW's Say No to Nestlé campaign in Ontario. Mike Balkwill also coordinates the People’s Water Campaign in Ontario and is the co-author, with Rob Fairley of the Campaign Planning Handbook (Free download here).

WWW currently provides strategy and campaign support to:

  • a number of communities fighting aggregate applications in Ontario

  • Protect Our Waterways who oppose the proposal for a nuclear waste dump in the municipality of South Bruce

  • Climate justice initiatives in Guelph, Ontario

  • Clean Water Now! who are fighting for improved municipal water quality in Tottenham, Ontario
