Bags without Barriers - Our 1st Annual Backpack Drive

I can’t think of a better way to show your kids how to contribute to the community than this initiative. Bags without Barriers is an awesome 100% not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping young kids have a great school year.

Honestly, my kids can relate to a backpack and school supplies and felt sad when I told them that there were kids in our city that couldn’t afford a school bag or supplies. We went and bought 2 bags off of the Amazon wish list Featured HERE. and plan on adding them to the many many bags I hope to collect this August 11th at Withrow Park.

The kids in underserviced communities like Rexdale and Regent Park deserve to feel proud when walking into their first day of school – and you can easily make that happen.

On August 11th please bring a new or gently used backpack to our backpack drive and show your support. We also need school supplies like notebooks, pencils, calculators, etc. All can be found on the Amazon wishlist HERE

***We will have free happy pops for every family that brings a bag, live music, and some garden games for the kids to play while the adults mingle.

Feel free to bring your beverage of choice, a smile, and a willingness to come together as a community to do something bigger than yourselves.

We in Riverdale are so fortunate – let’s give back
