Health Canada has postponed the proposed increased pesticide consultation until after the election. Get the facts and stay informed!

About this event

Health Canada has postponed their consultation on increasing the levels of glyphosate and other pesticides in Canadian food. Politicians promise research on "alternatives," better data for risk assessment, and legal amendments. With momentous changes promised, you can get the facts and stand guard for the needs of organic and regenerative agriculture.

Canada Organic Trade Association, SaskOrganics, Prevent Cancer Now and Safe Food Matters are partnering to deliver an information session for Canadian stakeholders on Health Canada's move to increase of glyphosate (and many other pesticides) in our food, and the dramatic shift and promises by the government.

Get the facts to understand the new promises and what they should mean for the organic sector. With a common understanding, stakeholders can press for needed changes, to minimize health and environmental impacts of pesticides, improve the portfolio of pest control options, and ensure that Canadians have a choice to decide what they put in their bodies.
