On Wednesday, April 19th, the HUB is hosting a virtual climate justice check-in for organizers across so-called Canada. This will be a participatory event for climate organizers and Land Defenders to share their own current work and talk about the state of the climate justice movement in Canada.
After a rapid-fire round of updates from climate justice organizers across the country, we will hear from several Indigenous Land Defenders who will share their struggles and triumphs from the frontlines of the fight for Indigenous sovereignty and how allies and accomplishments in the climate justice movement can help support their ongoing work. We'll save some time for a Q&A at the end, so come prepared to get engaged!
On Wednesday, April 19, the HUB is hosting a virtual climate justice gathering for activists from across so-called Canada. This will be an interactive event for those committed to climate justice and land defenders to share their current work and discuss the state of the climate justice movement across the country.
After a series of quick updates from you and your comrades on the projects and campaigns you are working on, we will have the chance to hear from four Indigenous land defenders who will share their struggles and victories on the front lines of the fight for Indigenous sovereignty and how people who are allies and accomplices of the climate justice movement can help them and support their ongoing work. We'll set aside some time for a Q&A at the end, so be ready and ready to chat!
