Affordable housing: Yes, It's a Climate Issue!

Come learn how housing affordability is directly related to climate change and how it is an issue we should all care about! In this webinar, Laurent Levesque and Julieta Perucca will discuss the intersections between housing, equity and climate change as well as the solutions available to us.

Laurent Levesque (Executive Director of UTILE): Laurent Levesque is the Executive Director and co-founder of the l’Unité de travail pour l'implantation de logement étudiant (UTILE), a non-profit organization that has developed a unique model for affordable student housing in Canada. He is also president of the board of directors of Chantier de l'économie sociale.

Julieta Perucca (Deputy Director at The Shift): A law graduate from the University of Maastricht, with a degree in International and European Law, and a Political Science degree from the University of Ottawa, Julieta is an experienced researcher and human rights activist. She has been working alongside Leilani Farha for the last four years conducting missions, assisting with thematic and country reports, as well as helping to launch The Shift. She has been expertly trained in the area of the right to housing and as Deputy Director, she facilitates engagement with The Shift network. Julieta leads the work on housing and climate change for The Shift.
