A Deep Dive into "The Art of Neighboring"

A Deep Dive into “The Art of Neighboring”

Date: April 13, 2022 | 1:00–2:00 p.m. (ET)

Speakers: Deanna Butz and Dave Runyon

What we have learned from the past two years is that knowing your neighbours has been so important to communities as they make it through the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that we are looking to the future and rethinking how we can make communities essential, we need to focus on neighbouring. What does it mean to be a good neighbor? How can we develop deeper relationships with those who live nearby, and understand that there are different levels of relationships?

Join Dave Runyon in a fireside chat with our very own Deepening Community Member Deanna Butz from Stony Plain as they talk about the importance of focusing your work on building neighbour relationships and what that means for building neighbourhoods.

Dave is the author of The Art of Neighboring, a book about his experience of starting a "neighboring movement" in Arvada, Colorado.

We are excited to share that we will be hosting a giveaway during this webinar! We will be giving away two copies of the Art of Neighboring to two registrants who attend the live webinar. Winners will be contacted shortly after the webinar.
