Companies and organizations across business sectors and regions have now heard the call: To safeguard our climate, every organization must dramatically reduce its carbon footprint. Yes, the world is moving towards a low carbon future. Clean energy, like wind and solar, is now the cheapest source of electricity in most countries; many of the world’s car makers are shifting to make only electric and hybrid models; countries around the world are starting important work to protect and restore nature; cities, states and regions across the world are also committing to reduce emissions to zero.
As we are counting down for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties ("COP26 Summit"), Energy Innovation Network will host the 2021 Enspire Summit “Envisioning a Carbon-Zero Future” aligned with the 4 goals of the COP26 Summit listed below:
1. Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach
2. Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
3. Mobilise finance
4. Work together to deliver
The 2021 Enspire Summit will be held on the weekends of October through 4 online panel discussion sessions with an audience made up of global industry elites, students, scholars, researchers, and policymakers. Each online session will last 2-3 hours, which will include social breakout discussions and Q&A.
