About the Tour

Join Northcrest Developments, kg&a, and Urban Minds for an eye-opening tour of the Downsview Airport Lands!

Learn about the team's unique approach to transforming 370 acres of largely undeveloped lands in the heart of Toronto.

This will also be the site of the Design Jam at Urban Minds' upcoming 1UP Toronto Conference. The 1UP Toronto Conference is a free event for all high school students in Ontario, where students get to learn more about city building and compete to win prizes! While we won't be revealing the details of the Design Jam 🤫, this tour offers an excellent opportunity for our conference attendees to know more about the planning process of redeveloping the airport. Refreshments will be provided.

After the site tour, you're invited to stay for the Hangar Skate, hosted by Northcrest. Skating is free, and skate rentals are $5 for individuals aged 12+. Helmets are also available to rent.

Meeting Point

We will begin the tour at 123 Garratt Blvd. Please arrive by 12:45pm for check-in.

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Downsview Airport Lands Site Tour

3:00pm - 4:00pm: Hangar Skate (optional)

Transit

From Wilson TTC station, bus #184 will take you to Gilley Road, at Garratt Blvd. Walk north on Garratt Blvd, then walk 1 intersection west along Garratt Blvd. The site tour meeting point will be on the north side of the road.

Parking

Free parking is available at 30 Hanover Road.
