Why Join TCAN?

Our network was formed to help foster collaboration and coordination among climate action groups in the Toronto area. Here’s some of the value and support we offer to our members:

TCAN_Icons_MakeConnections.png

Make connections: meet representatives of other climate action groups at our general meetings, by participating in subcommittees, through our delegates’ email list, and at social events.

TCAN_Icons_AmplifyOurVoices.png

Amplify our voices: through joint statements, collaborative campaigns, and by sharing petitions or actions, we can amplify our voices by speaking together to make our movement heard by the public and by governments.

TCAN_Icons_IncreaseYourProfile.png

Increase your profile: our website, social media presence, and newsletter, are designed to help people find accessible ways into climate action, and to find your organization.

TCAN_Icons_ShareLearning.png

Share learning: find out about the numerous and varied ways that TCAN member groups are taking climate action; get ideas and learn from other groups about what tactics and tools have worked for them.

TCAN_Icons_Collaborate.png

Collaborate: share and leverage the talents, skills, and interests of members across the network; need a photographer? a copy editor? a megaphone? a ladder? reach out across the network; someone might have or know exactly where to find what you’re looking for.

TCAN_Icons_PromoteEvents.png

Promote events: post your events on our shared online calendar, and in our newsletter, helping more people find their way to your event.

TCAN_Icons_FindVolunteers.png

Find volunteers: list volunteer opportunities on our website and we’ll help find people who are looking to fill the roles you need filled.

TCAN_Icons_BuildCommunity.png

Build community: join a community of communities! What better way to strengthen our organizing and movement-building muscles than to collaborate, learn together, share with each other and break down silos.
