National Day of Action - Defend our Climate, Defend our Communities

Saturday, November 16, 2013 - 2:00pm

Meet at SE corner of City Hall courtyard

On Nov. 16, Canadians from coast to coast will stand up to demand an energy future that protects our communities and our climate. In Toronto, join Environmental Defence Canada and others who are saying No to Enbridge's risky Line 9 pipeline plan to ship dirty tar sands oil through Toronto.

Meet in the south-east corner of the City Hall courtyard, and bring black clothes or a tree or Ontario animal costume, or just yourself!  We’ll be setting up a cloth “lake”, surrounding it with trees and animals, and building a wall of people linking arms who will “block” an incoming pipeline from reaching the lake. We’ll take a few great photos and share them widely.

Please RSVP so we know you'll be joining us. You can find the invitation on the Defend our Climate, Defend our Communities Website at:
The Facebook event can be found here:

On Nov. 16, you can help build a cross-Canada united wall of opposition to pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion and runaway climate change.
