Subcommittee on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
Toronto City Hall, Council Chambers
100 Queen Street West
Recognizing that Climate Change is one of the most important issues of our time, the City of Toronto has established a goal of greenhouse gas emission reductions of 80% by 2050.
To help meet that goal, the City of Toronto's Parks and Environment Committee has established a Subcommittee on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.
Please join us at the first meeting. It will be an opportunity to set a Terms of Reference for the Committee.
You can help us with this important task by either submitting written comments or delivering a deputation in person at the meeting.
To assist you in preparing your submission, we ask that you consider the following questions:
- The Subcommittee will make recommendations to the Parks & Environment Committee based on research and community engagement. By the end of the Subcommittee's term – December 31, 2016 – what do you feel the Subcommittee should have accomplished and/or created?
- How would you or your group like to be involved and engaged in the Subcommittee's work?
