Subcommittee on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

Monday, March 2, 2015 - 7:00pm

Toronto City Hall, Council Chambers
100 Queen Street West

Recognizing that Climate Change is one of the most important issues of our time, the City of Toronto has established a goal of greenhouse gas emission reductions of 80% by 2050.

To help meet that goal, the City of Toronto's Parks and Environment Committee has established a Subcommittee on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.

Please join us at the first meeting. It will be an opportunity to set a Terms of Reference for the Committee.

You can help us with this important task by either submitting written comments or delivering a deputation in person at the meeting.

For more details on how to participate, please contact Carol Kaustinen at, 416-338-5089 or visit the City's Clerk's website.

To assist you in preparing your submission, we ask that you consider the following questions:

  1. The Subcommittee will make recommendations to the Parks & Environment Committee based on research and community engagement. By the end of the Subcommittee's term – December 31, 2016 – what do you feel the Subcommittee should have accomplished and/or created?
  2. How would you or your group like to be involved and engaged in the Subcommittee's work?
