Mapping and Protecting our Natural Heritage

Tuesday, April 9, 2019 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Runnymede Branch Public Library, 2178 Bloor St W, Toronto

With extensive lakefront green space, the Humber River ravine and High Park, Toronto’s Ward 4, Parkdale-High Park is rich in natural heritage. Learn about the biodiversity of our natural areas, how these are mapped for protection purposes, what legal protections apply, and what measures are being taken - or need to be taken - to ensure that this natural heritage is protected for the long term

This discussion will also help you access a great deal of information provided by the City and others on strategies for Biodiversity, Ravines and Pollinators, as well as public consultations and committee and council meetings.

Presented by Sharon Lovett, Leslie Gooding and Karen Yukich on behalf of ProtectNatureTO and High Park Nature.
