and maybe we should make some more...
Here's the post about the rally from TTC Riders...
TTCriders has joined the Commitment 2 Community coalition to campaign for a fair budget in 2017. It’s time to fight together.
Over the last six years, those who can least afford it have paid more in fees, fares and cuts to service, and the 2017 budget makes it worse. Toronto can do better. We need more funding for critical public services like transit, child care, recreation, housing, measures to tackle climate change, and more. We do not need cuts.
Come to City Hall on Wednesday, February 15 at 9am - 10.30am
for a “Have a Heart” rally just before City Council votes on the budget. We need to send a strong message that Torontonians believe City Council can do better. Sign up to get involved here. Please bring your people to the event, wear red, and if you can stay all day then even better. Email us to get a flier you can share with your people.
Call your Councillor this week and urge them to vote for fair budget that expands services, not cuts them. Call your councillor by dialling 311 and ask to be transferred. We’ve included a message that you can share below. You can also send an e-message.

Please call Mayor Tory and your Councillor today at 311 to urge them to pass a fair budget. Your councillors' contacts are also here.
Here’s what you can say.
My name is _________ My postal code is _________ I live in your ward.
I am calling to tell you that I want you to vote a fair budget that increases funding for city services like transit, housing, recreation, good jobs, childcare, and more. We can pay for these services by increasing property taxes by 50 cents a week. Please invest, don’t cut.
Thank you for your time.
