Climate Reality

Tuesday, April 1, 2014 - 7:00pm

2nd Floor - Council Chamber
Swansea Town Hall 95 Lavinia Ave, Toronto, ON

Speaker: Mary Ambrose, a Climate Reality leader

Mary Ambrose is part of an extraordinary group of people from around the world unified around the same cause, spreading the truth about climate change and inspiring action on the climate crisis. She is one of over 6,000 people trained by the Chairman and Founder of the Climate Reality Project, former Vice President Al Gore, to educate others about climate change and tackle the crisis head on. They’re engaging their communities with Acts of Leadership, building networks of truth, and inspiring solutions and action in their communities.

Mary is an award winning broadcaster and writer whose career has spanned print, web, and radio. Born in Toronto, she’s lived and worked in the UK and the USA at the CBC, BBC and PRI, and written for numerous papers and magazines. She left her working life as an observer on the sidelines to become more involved in issues close to her heart. A life-long environmentalist, she leapt at the chance to work at Greenpeace in 2012.

Mary will share the latest on what is happening on the climate front, followed by lively Q&A and discussion on how to engage in helping solve the climate crisis.

This is a free public event.
