DMZ - 6th floor 10 Dundas Street E Suite 600, Toronto, Ontario
The Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship and the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change are teaming up with passionate Ontarians to generate new approaches to one of the biggest challenges our society is facing- climate change.
Canadian households have a direct or indirect impact on 45% of Canada’s carbon emissions. From the lighting and heating in our homes to our transportation choices, Ontarians have the ability to make big impacts by making small changes to their daily habits. Climate Hack-to-Action will help unlock Ontario’s low carbon future by supporting the development of innovative solutions that empower people to make low carbon choices and reduce their carbon footprints.
During the 48-hour hackathon, participants will form multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with policy experts, community leaders, and entrepreneurs to accelerate impactful and scalable solutions. The hackathon will culminate with a Pitch Competition, during which teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. The most successful pitches will be recognized at the awards ceremony and the winning teams will receive prizes. Click here for contest rules and regulations.
