Climate Change Town Hall with Catherine McKenna and Glen Murray
Evergreen Brick Works - 550 Bayview Ave BMO Atrium, Toronto, ON
The scientific evidence is clear: climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and also one of the greatest opportunities. From increased incidences of droughts, to coastal flooding, to the expanding melt of sea ice in our Arctic, the widespread impacts of climate change are compelling Canadians, including Indigenous peoples, to think about viable solutions.
The Honourable Chrystia Freeland Member of Parliament for University-Rosedale, Julie Dabrusin Member of Parliament for Toronto-Danforth, and Arif Virani Member of Parliament for Parkdale-High Park invite you to join them at 6:30 on Friday June 17th at the Evergreen Brick Works for a Town Hall on Climate Change with Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, and Ontario's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Glen Murray.
We'll start with a presentation, and then we'll ask you for your constructive ideas about:
a. How and where to reduce emissions
b. Ideas for new technology and job creation
c. How to put a price on carbon
d. Preparing for the impacts of climate change
e. General ideas on climate change reductions
We'll be sharing our ideas publically following the event on the climate change consultation website.
We look forward to seeing you at 6:30 on Friday June 17th at the Evergreen Brick Works. Please register in advanced, as seating is limited due to the capacity of the room.
