Climate Action Catalyst Workshop!

Wednesday, October 16, 2019 - 4:30pm to 7:30pm

Scarborough Civic Centre - Committe E Room 2, Toronto

Attend a climate action catalyst to see how you, too, can be a climate leader within your community. Learn from industry professionals, get some free goodies, some free food, and a chance to network with like-minded peers.

Meet our speakers! We are lucky to be hosting Dr. Tanzina Mohsin, a professor from the University of Toronto Scarborough, Megan McLean, a member of TransformTO, and Elise Mackie, Water Monitoring Coordinator, for the Toronto Hub from Swim Drink Fish. At this workshop, you will be able to learn about the current climate science and the causes and impacts of climate change. On a more local scale, you will also be able to learn about what Toronto is doing in the face of climate change. The effects of climate change have already begun to impact Toronto, with Centre Island being consistently flooded. You will have the chance to learn about where Toronto's highest GHG emissions are coming from and what you can do to live more sustainably.
