Benefits of Trees: Tree for Me
Thursday, September 15, 2016 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Annette Library, 145 Annette St., Toronto
Would you like to plant a tree and help sequester carbon?
Trees are a part of our everyday lives. They improve the quality of the air we breathe, improve our mood, support wildlife, increase property value, sequester carbon, and provide other countless benefits. Join Tree for Me to find out how trees benefit you and your family. Learn about the City of Toronto's efforts to improve the tree canopy in your neighbourhood. Find out what the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation is doing to support these efforts.
In the meantime, take the online survey at: http://www.torontoparksandtrees.ca/Programs/Programs/Tree-for-Me-1 which is a pre-requisite to make you eligible for a free tree. Details are yet to be announced about the subsequent workshop and free tree pick-up of October 29 event at the Annette Library. Tree for Me offers other locations and dates other than Oct. 29 to attend the workshop and pick up a treeling.
Organized by Annette Library in collaboration with Green 13 and the Junction Residents' Association.
