Against an Airport and Its World

Saturday, June 10, 2017 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Church of St. Stephen in-the-Fields, 365 College St, Toronto

The ZAD (”Zone to Defend”) in western France is a sprawling 4000 acre constellation of fields, barricades, forests, swamps, and communal farms that have physically blockaded the construction of an airport for nearly a decade.

Join us for a presentation by two residents of the ZAD about the history and future of this ungovernable territory and a conversation about how it relates to our own land-based struggles here at home.

Location is the Church of St Stephen-In-The-Fields. Main entrance is at 365 College Street; the space is wheelchair accessible by the ramp at College and Bellevue, and there is a barrier-free washroom.
